There are currently no identified medical contraindications for receiving Reiki. This practice is typically administered through gentle touch and often leads to reduced stress and alleviation of discomfort, pain, depression, and anxiety. Reiki can either complement a massage or serve as an independent treatment.
During a Reiki-only session, the participant remains fully clothed. Prior to treatment, the practitioner conducts a personalized intake that lasts approximately 5 to 15 minutes.
